Creativity and Wellness have a strong influence on our sense of well being.

People suffer from depresIMG_1701sion, anxiety and stress due to mental illness, physical disease, cancer, special needs of children and other family members, social isolation due to aging or socio-economic limitations, and the daily challenges of our current life styles.

This conference is designed to bring together health care professionals, educators, parents and organizations in support roles who value the benefit of integrating the creative process in their work and in their lives.

Many small organizations and non-profits are working hard to support communities, this is an opportunity for these professionals and organizations to come together and network to do this work together.

Speakers will share their knowledge and experience with participants, offering hands-on art experiences to participants to explore the benefits of arts-based wellness programs.  Key Note Speakers, Marc Otto and Melanya Helene will also host a special performance in the morning.  Workshops will be held throughout the day for professionals and parents who have an interest in creativity and wellness.  In the afternoon, families can sign up to come in and experience creative activities which promote a sense of well being for all family members.  Professionals will have an opportunitPrinty to network at a short reception following the conference.

Click here for the conference schedule.

Vendors will share information about their programs, and the afternoon of Family Activities will be hosted by local businesses.  Pre-Order a copy of Marney Makridakis’ new book, Hop, Skip, Jump and register for her upcoming workshop December 6 &7, 2014.

The Creativity and Wellness Conference will include a silent auction to benefit Free Arts NW and their new Mobile Art Studio.  Free Arts NW is a local non-profit dedicated to bringing health and wellness to local communities by providing free art programs. Contact us to donate an auction item and to find out how you can support this unique project!

Be the change you wish to see, join us!
