This year, Saturday Academy will be offering a series of Late Opening programs at Creative Roots. Join us for Brainteasers, Codes, Optical Illusions and Puzzles!
Brainteasers
Students will explore the tactics used to solve difficult types of puzzles, codes and games such as Brainteasers and Sudoku.
Codes
Students will learn about shift ciphers, the Vigenere cipher, and the Enigma machine in order to better understand how to create secret codes, decode encrypted messages, and why it is safe to type a password on the internet.
Optical Illusions
Students will learn how to utilize measurement and shapes to create optical illusions. Explore the magic of line design and how to turn perfectly straight lines into curves.
Puzzles
Students will solve fiendishly clever puzzles and play ancient games. They will discover the strategies behind puzzles as they build their own. In addition, they learn the tools and tactics for playing classic games.
Creative Roots Staff will walk kids to Chapman Elementary School or the Access Academy Bus at Chapman in time for school start or bus departure.

8am-9:45am
Cost: $20/class or $75 for the series
